We accept written works (fiction, non-fiction, poetry, prose, etc.), digital media, and much more! If you’d like to submit for our next issue, please send us a copy of your work (or any questions you might have) at utcomls.lumen@gmail.com by January 30th, 2026.
Please include:
Your name and credentials/UTCOMLS affiliation (e.g., second-year medical student, MD, DO, etc.) as you would like them to be displayed
Your work (as an email attachment)
The title of your work (or indicate whether it is untitled)
A connection to medicine in your work, whether evident through the piece itself or (if necessary) via an artist’s statement explaining the piece’s connection. If you have any questions or would like clarification on whether your piece meets this criteria, feel free to email us!
If submitting a written piece, please include any images you would like to be included (optional)
If submitting a visual piece, please include a brief artist’s statement (optional), the medium, and the dimensions
