Artist’s Statement:
This piece is based on a historical image from the CDC archives of a late 1960s-1970s measles vaccine delivery vehicle. I chose to draw it in color to represent the threat of measles returning to the modern day. My work was inspired by the need to remember all the work that has been put into public health, and to appreciate what it has done for us.
Media: 11x14in ink and alcohol marker on Bristol paper.
